An LGBTQIA + Conversation

Kirsti Reeve

Kirsti was happily living and studying in England until she met and fell in love with a woman from Detroit. After nine years long distance, she moved to Michigan in 2003. In addition to writing and performing music with her (now) wife Terry,  she is a licensed professional counselor with over a decade of experience working with teens and trauma survivors, as well as helping LGBTQ+ individuals integrate their sexuality and spirituality. Her spiritual journey has taken her from fundamentalist evangelical Christianity, through a faith crisis, and  then ultimately finding a home in the Catholic faith community and their rich tradition of social justice, sacramental theology, and conscience formation. Along with Terry, she helps curate the music programming for the Wild Goose Festival and also serves as stage manager for the event itself.
