Sergio Celestino Guadarrama is first generation Mexican American. He graduated from Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and The Fashion Institute of Technology. In 2005 Sergio created his own brand CELESTINO that focuses on sustainability and draws inspiration from important political topics to be told through fashion. One of the best known CELESTINO creations was Billy Porter’s Tony Awards Dress upcycled from the “Kinky Boots” closing curtain in which the look addressed sustainability and women’s reproductive rights.
