Terry Gonda has dedicated her life to living up to a declaration she made as a five-year-old to grow up to be “lots of things”. Formed in the crucible of living in the middle of polarities she is a wife, Ignatian-trained spiritual director, singer-songwriter, Catholic music director, engineer, organizational development professional, teacher, speaker, life coach, world-class hugger, and a mystic-in-training. After recently having been fired from a 36 year career as a Catholic music minister for being in a same-sex marriage, she and her wife Kirsti are working to champion a better way of managing through the important polarities in our society and faith communities through forgiveness, love, and accompaniment. Additionally, Terry and Kirsti help run the music programming portion of the Wild Goose Festival (a community living at the intersection of justice, spirituality, music, and art) and Terry serves on the board as Vice Chair.
